BATTwin Showcases Its Digital Battery Passport Approach at the Maritime Battery Forum Working Group

BATTwin is pleased to announce its participation in the November 18th, 2025 meeting of the Working Group on the EU Battery Passport for Maritime Batteries, organized by the Maritime Battery Forum.

During the session, Giacomo Grosa, Project Manager & Battery Regulation Developer at Bureau Veritas Group, presented the BATTwin project and its innovative approach to the Digital Battery Passport (DBP).

Giacomo’s presentation highlighted the methodology used to map regulatory requirements for the Digital Battery Passport and integrate them into the BATTwin data management platform. This work is a key step in ensuring transparent, traceable, and regulation-aligned data flows across the battery value chain.

By demonstrating how BATTwin’s architecture supports the digital transformation of battery systems, particularly in the rapidly evolving maritime sector, the session provided a clear view into how the project contributes to compliance, innovation, and sustainability for the next generation of maritime batteries.

We thank the Maritime Battery Forum for the opportunity to share our progress and engage with stakeholders driving the future of maritime electrification.
