BATTwin is delighted to collaborate with the Ecole de la Batterie in organizing the Battery Manufacturing Industry Winter School, a premier event spearheaded by Verkor, a key use-case provider within BATTwin. The Winter School will take place from March 24 to March 27, 2025, in Grenoble, France.
This unique initiative brings together researchers, industry professionals, and PhD students from across Europe to advance knowledge and foster innovation in the battery manufacturing sector. The comprehensive program focuses on critical areas, including innovative battery materials, recycling processes, and digitalization of the manufacturing process.
Program Highlights
- Expert Keynotes and Seminars: Renowned experts will address topics such as sustainable battery development, Ni-rich cathodes for safer batteries, Na-ion alternatives, digitalization challenges, and recycling needs. Notably, BATTwin’s own Prof. Marcello Colledani, project coordinator, and Prof. Nada Mimouni will present on digitally-enhanced zero-defect manufacturing methods and cybersecurity threats in battery cell manufacturing, respectively.
- PhD Sessions and Awards: PhD students will showcase their cutting-edge research on battery innovation, with awards recognizing the best contributions.
- Hands-On Training and Site Visits: Participants will gain firsthand exposure to advanced technologies through exclusive visits to the R&D Battery Platform CEA/Synchrotron ESRF, and Verkor’s pilot production line. Additional training will cover energy transition, battery pack integration and automotive applications, materials and recycling.
- Focused Discussions: Roundtable discussions will explore industry training and provide cross-perspectives from labs to industry, offering actionable insights for bridging academic and industrial gaps.
