The Digital Battery Passport, identified by the European Commission as a key enabler of the transition to a sustainable and circular economy, will soon become mandatory. However, for manufacturers, compliance with the latter may pose challenges due to its complexity and potential costs.
To address this, the BATTwin project has included the development of an effective traceability system. As part of this effort, the Bureau Veritas Italia recently completed and submitted Deliverable 2.3 to the European Commission, the latter defining a structured data model to support traceability and ensure compliance with digital battery passport requirements throughout the battery production lifecycle.
A Key Milestone for BATTwin and Battery Manufacturers
Deliverable D2.3 marks the fourth completed milestone in the BATTwin project and represents a significant step in turning regulatory obligations into practical tools for the battery industry.
